“Why Mi BANK?”

By Rob Farr

The vision for “Mi BANK” came to me in early 2017. The environment for community banks was improving. Businesses were growing, regulatory burdens were loosening, and the advances in technology were allowing community banks to compete with their larger rivals. That being said, locally owned banks continued to disappear. Were customers better off? I believe the answer was then, and continues to be, “No”.

I quickly focused on clients that are most dissatisfied with their bank. After all, taking care businesses and business owners was the key to our success at Bank of Birmingham. Why not create a bank specifically for businesses and business owners. Offer them a single contact/Banker, to take care of all their needs. Simplify their banking experience! On the other hand, don’t try to be all things to all people – leave that strategy to the big banks and the credit unions.

Successful businesses are built on their people. I was fortunate to have a wonderful team of Bankers at Bank of Birmingham who understood how to take care of our clients. Without this team, the bank would not have thrived. I am thrilled because many of those Bankers have agreed to be part of Mi BANK.

All this means is – we have built a bank for you. We believe we can help you realize your aspirations in business and in life. Your Mi BANK Banker is ready to get to know you. Please give us a call.
